SacSewer board honors Rosemary Clark after 35 years in collections operations

The Sacramento Area Sewer District on March 11 recognized Rosemary Clark, director of collection system operations, as she retires after more than 35 years with the agency.
District Engineer Christoph Dobson introduced the tribute, calling Clark’s “tremendous passion for our mission” and her commitment to staff “a big hug” around the organization. Board members described Clark as a steadying presence who helped the district become an industry standard and noted the significance of her leadership as a woman in an engineering‑focused field.
Clark told the board she felt privileged to serve and said protecting public health and the environment had been the reward of her career. She thanked the board and staff for their support and said she left the district “with a full and grateful heart.” The board presented gifts and applause followed.
The recognition took place during the district engineer matters portion of the agenda, and board members used the occasion to highlight mentorship, staff development and the example Clark set for future leaders.
