A staff presenter said the product demonstration — the opportunity to see the system in action — was the deciding factor for the selection committee.
Director Kaplan announced she would abstain on Item 4 “because of a contribution,” and asked that the abstention be shown on the record. The clerk called an electronic vote; the motion carried and the consent calendar was approved. The clerk verbally acknowledged the abstention by Kaplan while noting the motion passed.
