At its Aug. 13 meeting the Antioch Unified Board of Trustees voted to approve an employment agreement for Dr. Camille Johnson to serve as associate superintendent of human resources.
Miss Wells introduced the recommendation and trustees moved and seconded the employment agreement. The motion passed on a voice vote; a unanimous roll-call was recorded in the meeting minutes. Dr. Camille Johnson thanked the board and said she looked forward to serving the community.
The board also approved routine personnel-related resolutions: Resolution 2025-2623 authorizing provisional internship permits (PIPs) for listed individuals to be employed while completing subject-matter competency requirements, and Resolution 2025-2624 allowing specified single-subject credential holders to teach outside their credential authorization where permitted by Education Code provisions during the 2025–26 school year. Trustees approved consent items A through AB in a single vote earlier in the meeting.
No contested votes or amendments to those items were recorded in the meeting transcript. Trustees congratulated Dr. Johnson and applauded classified and certificated staff for their work preparing sites for the first day of school.
