Walton County Board of Education elects David Breedlove chair; Ned Butler named vice chair

The elections were conducted as part of the board’s annual officer-selection process. The chair opened nominations, members made and seconded nominations, and each contested position was put to a voice vote that returned a 7–0 tally in favor of the nominees.
Board members also addressed several procedural items immediately after the elections. The board approved its regular meeting dates, times and places and considered the superintendent’s recommendation for board counsel; both motions passed unanimously.
