The Colton Joint Unified School District board approved the bulk of its action agenda Oct. 16, adopting items 6.2 through 6.39 by omnibus vote while holding items 6.4, 6.6 and 6.26 for separate consideration.
Item 6.4 was later approved on separate consideration with one abstention from Board Member Pat Haro. The superintendent noted the items pulled for separate consideration before the omnibus vote.
Following closed session, the board read out that it had upheld four student expulsions (student ID numbers provided in the record) and approved personal public employee appointments as presented. The board also granted an unpaid leave of absence to employee ID number 10880; motions and votes on these closed-session readouts were recorded in the meeting minutes.
These actions concluded the board’s formal business before adjournment to closed session.
