The proclamation noted Williams’ service since June 30, 2020, listed professional certifications (intermediate structure firefighter, Instructor I, Fire Officer I, driver/pump operator, RSM investigator), referenced Texas Commission on Fire Protection certifications and Texas Peace Officer certification, and commended his leadership and service to the community.
Mayor Pro Tim invited Williams to come forward and the council congratulated him. Council members and the mayor pro remarked on the value of recognizing first responders and the council adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
