Committee members discussed the effect of the rise on discharge planning and community services. Edgecomb said the county is pursuing memoranda of understanding with community partners (North Central and Aruka) to improve discharge planning and reduce post-release incidents. The committee encouraged prompt handling of any upcoming agreements so new leaders can continue the procurement and contracting work without delay.
