Miss Kundra told the committee the 3% recommendation aligns with the district’s planned budget. For teachers the settlement raises the base salary (the transcript cited movement from approximately $45,335 to about $48,278 as part of schedule adjustments) and shortens the step increments at the lower end of the schedule so beginning teachers see larger step movement. The settlement includes step/lane movement and retains incentives for master’s degrees and national board certification.
