Board reports closed-session personnel actions; public commenter sought reconsideration

Before the board recessed for closed session, classified employee Latoya Ger addressed the board during public comment and asked trustees for "one fresh eyes, fresh look, fresh intake" and pleaded that she not be terminated, saying she had not been trained on the issue that led to the personnel action. "I'm asking you guys for one fresh eyes, fresh look, fresh intake on it if possible and to not terminate me because of a mistake of um untrained from what I know now," Latoya Ger said.
The board did not discuss the details of personnel matters in open session beyond reporting the outcomes required by law. Trustees followed standard procedure by recessing to closed session to consider matters labeled on the agenda as public employee discipline, dismissal, release or complaints and later announced the votes in open session.
