Warrick County BZA moves several cases to April and May meetings
Summary
On the March agenda the Warrick County BZA continued a special use and two variances (including a billboard variance) to later meetings: BZA-SU-26-05 and related variances to April 27, and a billboard variance to May 26.
At its March meeting the Warrick County Board of Zoning Appeals voted to continue multiple agenda items to later dates, including a special-use application and related variances and a separate billboard variance.
Staff introduced case BZA-SU-26-05 (Robinson Outdoor; Brent Dile, real estate manager; owner A+ Auto) for a proposed 12-by-24 electronic message center in a C4 commercial district at 4466 Lynn Road and said the applicant requested continuation to the board’s April 27 meeting; the board approved that continuation. Staff also presented a variance filed by Summit Locations (permit coordinator Lauren Bunting) on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Warrick County (Amy Hobbs, executive director) seeking two billboards that would not meet the 1,000-foot separation requirement; staff said the applicant requested continuation to the May 26 meeting and the board approved that continuation.
A member of the public who had attended for those matters confirmed the new dates before the board. No public testimony on these items occurred at the March meeting because applicants asked for continuances and the board acted to reschedule them. The board approved continuations by voice vote and then proceeded to other agenda items.
