At its May 5 meeting, the O'Fallon Historic Preservation Commission approved the minutes from March 3, 2026 and elected officers for the coming term.
Chair Rick Dotson presided over a voice vote to approve the meeting agenda and, later, the March minutes after a motion by a commissioner and a second. The commission then nominated and elected Dotson to continue as chair; John was elected assistant chair following nomination and seconding by commissioners. The votes were recorded as voice "Aye" responses and the chair confirmed a quorum at the session start.
The commission asked the clerk to circulate the approved minutes and to update the commission roster to reflect the officer elections. Commissioners thanked the returning leaders and noted their intention to continue with ongoing projects, including the log-cabin cataloging and SHPO brochure work.
The meeting adjourned after a series of project updates and a public-history presentation.
