Norfolk County to update website for new ADA requirements; vendor Revize to lead revamp

Bill Buckley updated the Norfolk County Commissioners on a planned website refresh to meet new federal ADA accessibility requirements and to improve navigation for frequently used services.
Buckley said the county is working with vendor Revize and internal staff (including Sam Evans) to ensure pages, images and documents meet the heightened accessibility standard and to add streamlined navigation features such as a two‑bar quick‑links section and interactive maps that let users click on their town to view county services and ARPA/opioid awards relevant to that community. "We're working diligently with our vendor … to make sure we work quickly to make sure we are in compliance," Buckley said.
Commissioners were told the update will also migrate agendas and minutes to higher‑resolution, more accessible PDF formats and aim to simplify the county's ARPA reporting so residents can find town‑specific award information in one or two clicks. Staff expect initial work to start immediately and to provide a progress report next month ahead of the coming federal requirements.
