Supervisor Justin Brandt moved to approve expenditures and claims as listed; the resolution passed unanimously. The claims spanned multiple county funds and included vendors, payroll transfers and standard operating expenses as itemized in the meeting packet.
The board approved new hourly pay rates for election staff — Co‑Lead Voting Machine Technicians (two positions) at $16.50 per hour and Voting Machine Technicians (four positions) at $15.37 per hour — following a motion by Tavis Hall and second by Justin Brandt, as recommended by County Auditor Karen Showalter.
Other approved consent items included purchase of branded materials not to exceed $7,000 (Kurtenbach moved; Brandt seconded), a travel request for Marketing Coordinator Gabbi DeWitt to attend a TCU communicator program in Fort Worth with estimated cost of $2,635 (Brandt moved; Hall seconded), approval of a minor plat to split a house from surrounding farmland at 301 West Marquis Road (Kurtenbach moved; Brandt seconded), and direction to advertise a public hearing for proposed Ordinance No. 77‑307 to rezone 12.86 acres for a private landing strip (Brandt moved; Hall seconded). All motions passed with unanimous recorded votes.
The board also received an electronic manure management plan notice from the Iowa DNR (Clark Even ID#67178) and approved routine intergovernmental journal entries and payroll adjustments as part of the consent agenda.
