Siskiyou County's Board of Supervisors approved a broad consent agenda on April 21 that included administrative resolutions, interagency MOUs, grant acceptances and equipment donations.
Key items approved included Resolutions 26-55 and 26-56 authorizing the Recorder to implement a Property Owner Notification Program under SB 255 and to transact with the California Electronic Recording Network Authority (CeRTNA) (SEG 012-015). The Board also approved a letter supporting the Siskiyou County Fish and Game Commission's petition to restrict trail cameras capable of transmitting real-time data during hunting seasons (SEG 017) and authorized donation of a 1997 Ford F-350 to the Veterans Assistance Program (SEG 019).
Public Health items included adoption of Resolution 26-57 to accept Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program funding from the California Department of Public Health totaling $134,000 over FY 2026–2028 (SEG 053). The Board also approved a CalWORKS Home Visiting Initiative sub-award addendum increasing local funding by $31,424 and setting expenditures so the program total does not exceed $291,629 for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 (SEG 055).
The Board authorized several behavioral health service contracts and addenda (including a $102,000 third addendum to California Hearing Officers, LLP), multiple MOUs enabling the County Library to provide technology backbone services to partner libraries, a SolutionsWest addendum for social services, an airports CPI base-rate resolution, and transfers of modest fund amounts for Predatory Animal Control and Sheriff needs (SEG 043-067). The Sheriff’s Office item also included adoption of Resolution 26-59 accepting donation of K9-Lyla from Deputy Albert Frietas (SEG 063) and donation of two surplus radios to the Klamath River Hose Company (SEG 061).
The consent agenda was adopted by roll call. Several proclamations and recognitions were also adopted during the meeting, including recognition of Tonya Dowse as the 2026 California Woman of the Year and a Peak of Excellence award for Elizabeth Rose Johnson (SEG 068-081).
