City honors state champions and presents finance award; council appoints planning-commission alternates

Council paused business briefly to recognize several community achievements. The Pleasant Grove High School eSports team captured the inaugural Utah High School Activities 5A state championship; team members described their games and competitive practice routines. The Pleasant Grove High School marching band was also recognized for winning the 5A state championship.
Finance director Denise announced Pleasant Grove received the Government Finance Officers Association Triple Crown Award recognizing excellence in audited financial reporting, popular annual financial reporting and distinguished budget presentation. The mayor affixed a proclamation and the council took photos with the honorees.
On procedural business, council appointed Jeff Gregson and Brett Robertson as alternate members of the Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission; the council voted in favor of the appointments.
