Ensign also presented the Spring Gulch restroom replacement as the system's final vault restroom, completing all 18 restroom locations. Natural Resource Manager Nick Adamson proposed three fixed, low‑maintenance garden shade structures (estimated ~10‑year lifespan) at three community garden sites; survey feedback from 2025 was largely favorable and the structures will remain first‑come, first‑served.
Project Manager Taylor Irelan described Dad Clark Drive electrical upgrades to replace deteriorated holiday‑lighting infrastructure and reduce recurring repair costs (currently about $3,000–$4,000 per year). Parks and Parkways Manager Dirk Ambrose presented the Parkway Landscape Conversion at Santa Fe and Town Center Drive with an appropriation not to exceed $168,000, a contract for approximately $152,000 and anticipated County reimbursement of $60,000; completion is expected by mid‑summer.
Each item was forwarded to the consent agenda without objection during the study session; formal approvals will appear on the April 28 board meeting consent agenda.
