Truscoll proposed setting regular outreach hours in partnership with Office for the Aging, Department of Social Services (DSS), WIC and veteran services and asked supervisors to refer residents who might be eligible. Supervisors asked clarifying questions about ABAWD (Able‑Bodied Adults Without Dependents) work or community‑service requirements, student eligibility rules, and how deductions and housing costs affect benefit amounts; Truscoll explained those rules and said he would forward outreach materials and a program handbook to county staff.
The presentation concluded with an offer to coordinate more presence in Washington County, share informational handouts and distribute outreach materials to elected officials and community partners.
