Central York to apply for state facility grant, board signs resolution

"We are applying for the full $5 million," one presenter said during the discussion, explaining the grant requires a 25% local match so a full award would equate to about $6.25 million in project resources once the district’s portion is included. Staff said they had solicited endorsement letters from three state senators and the application deadline is March 13.
Board members voted to approve a resolution authorizing the application and the required local match procedure; the motion carried without a recorded roll call in the transcript. Administrators said that even a portion of an award would support capital work the district already plans to do.
The board also accepted the 2024–25 annual independent audit and approved other budget items at the meeting; the Lincoln Intermediate Unit budget was adopted by roll call (nine yes votes) and the York Adams Academy 2026–27 budget was approved.
