Committee moves remaining physical-education, health and driver-education maps to April review

The presenter said, “So, with committee's approval, Director Oliver, if we're comfortable, we would ask to move to all these maps to discussion in April.” The maps under consideration follow earlier work on kindergarten through third-grade physical-education plans and are intended to complete the district’s curriculum-mapping process.
Committee members praised the teachers and curriculum teams for their work during the drafting process. One committee member said, “Just a thank you to all the teachers who… put the time into this,” and another echoed that the writing teams did “an outstanding job.”
The committee did not record any amendments or a named mover or seconder in the transcript; the presenter and the committee treated the vote as a routine procedural referral. Next steps, as stated at the meeting, are discussion of the maps at the April committee meeting and a potential recommendation to the curriculum committee thereafter.
