School board cancels work session after no quorum; chair opens brief citizen time

Despite canceling formal business, the chair offered a public comment period and said each speaker would have three minutes. "I will allow citizen time. If any citizen wants to speak, you will have your 3 minutes that's allotted," the chair said. No members of the public stepped forward.
When asked for board comments, one board member said, "I don't have any comments," and another echoed that they had none. Board members thanked those in attendance and reiterated their regret for the inconvenience. One member noted the next scheduled meeting date, saying, "We will see all who choose to participate on the 16th."
No motions were made, no votes were taken, and the meeting was dismissed because of the lack of a quorum. The board said it expects to reconvene on April 16 to resume work-session business.
