The Greene County board voted to approve a standard HVAC contract for building renovations and accepted a financial report that included recent grant receipts, board members said.
At the start of the meeting the chair moved to approve minutes from the Feb. 26 meeting; the motion was seconded by John and approved by voice vote. Later, the board approved its debts and financial statements by voice vote after the treasurer summarized receipts, disbursements and a cash balance.
The treasurer reported the county received a state tire-recycling grant and referenced a separate $77,000 grant described in the transcript as from “Green.” The transcript also records a $10,000 grant approved for 2026 and an additional $3,000 from the health department earmarked for the tire program. The chair cautioned that a current workers’ compensation audit could change final liabilities.
The board then moved to approve the county’s standard HVAC agreement so renovation work could finish. The chair praised the contractor’s work, saying, “He really did a good job laying all that out and putting that together,” and noted the contractor was returning to check the air conditioner.
Linda provided a customer-revenue update for recent dates, reporting daily customer counts and receipts for late February and March. The transcript lists counts and per-day receipts for specific dates; totals were discussed during the meeting.
All routine approvals were completed by voice vote. The board set its next meeting for April 19.
Clarifying details: the transcript includes several numeric figures that are partially unclear in transcription (see clarifying_details). When numbers were stated clearly in the record, they are noted above.
