Ventnor City approves three Teamsters memoranda of agreement

Following closed-session negotiations, the Ventnor City Commission returned to open session and approved three resolutions adopting memoranda of agreement with Teamsters Local 929 for city employees.
Commissioners said the closed session covered proposed terms for three bargaining units represented by Teamsters Local 929: clerical employees, blue-collar/public works personnel, and telecommunications operators/dispatchers. The commission then considered individual resolutions implementing the tentative agreements.
Resolution 383 approved a memorandum of agreement between the City of Ventnor and Teamsters Local 929 for the clerical unit, effective Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028. Resolution 384 approved a memorandum of agreement for the Department of Public Works blue-collar unit for the same effective dates, and Resolution 385 approved amendments to the agreement for telecommunications officers (dispatchers) covering Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028. Motions to adopt each resolution were made, seconded and approved by roll call with Commissioner Langra, Commissioner Mento and Mayor Creel voting yes.
The commission reported the agreements would be memorialized in final executed contracts consistent with the memoranda and that no other personnel actions associated with these units were taken during the meeting.
