At the March 10 special meeting the Traffic Safety Commission voted to approve the minutes of its Feb. 3, 2026 meeting after adding a short clarification noting staff had told two citizens to bring their concerns to the ongoing study.
A motion to approve the minutes was made and seconded and passed by voice vote.
The commission then moved to elect a new chair. The outgoing chair said they had served about two and a half years and nominated Vice Chair Steve Weiss for the role. "I'll make a motion to appoint Steve Weiss, my vice chair, be the chair," the outgoing chair said. The commission seconded the nomination and voted to appoint Steve Weiss. Weiss then took control and thanked the commission.
These were procedural actions; commissioners discussed scheduling for upcoming meetings and events before adjourning the special meeting.
