Yucaipa-Calimesa board appoints two principals, approves budget and updates facility fees

Staff and board members cited increased custodial costs and wear on turf and track surfaces as drivers for the change and said the district compared fees with neighboring districts and coordinated with city staff while developing the new schedule.
On student safety and athletics, the board approved a consultant agreement for a high-school athletic trainer. Staff said the agreement was expedited so the trainer could work with coaches before the season given heat and injury concerns.
