Board approves HVAC contract, tax reports and personnel appointments; consent items pass

Rouse said phase one work at several campuses had progressed over spring and early summer and listed unit counts for phase two: 32 units at Sierra Elementary, 40 at Valley View, 11 at Victory High School, 25 at Parker Whitney, three rooftop units at Rocklin High School and four units at Rocklin Elementary. The board approved resolution 242534 by roll call.
CFD tax reports: Deputy Superintendent Jennifer Stallber presented resolution 242530 to approve tax reports and levy special taxes for fiscal year 2025–26 for community facilities districts (CFDs) numbers 1, 2 and 3. Trustees asked whether special-tax amounts vary by CFD; staff explained the taxes vary by unit counts, housing type and outstanding debt obligations. The board approved resolution 242530 by roll call.
Appointments and consent agenda: At the meeting’s start the board reported unanimous closed-session approvals of three personnel actions: the appointment of Olivia Khan as principal of Parker Whitney Elementary School; appointment of Patrick "PJ" Daly as assistant principal of Whitney High School; and appointment of Greg Snyder as director of personnel services. Later the board approved the consent calendar in one motion; roll-call votes on consent and other actions were recorded as unanimous.
What this means: These votes advance planned facility work, ensure required tax levy calculations proceed for CFDs that secure bond obligations, and finalize personnel placements approved in closed session.
