Board appoints Alan Hansen to taxpayers’ seat on bond oversight committee; sets organizational meeting date

At its Dec. 10 meeting the Redwood City School Board completed several governance actions: the board adopted the annual organizational meeting date for Dec. 17, 2025, approved the consent agenda with item 8.3 removed, and filled a vacant taxpayer‑organization seat on the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC).
Rick (district staff) presented two applicants for the CBOC taxpayer representative slot. After discussion trustees moved to appoint Alan Hansen; the motion carried by voice vote with unanimous assent. Staff said they will follow up with the other applicant to see whether he wants to fill another open CBOC seat and bring that appointment back on the consent calendar.
No other formal board policy changes were adopted at this meeting; several board policy and regulation updates were considered for first reading. The board recessed for a 10‑minute break after these action items and then returned to reports and discussion.
