The board voted to appoint Mariana Godinas as an elementary principal on schedule one step five, effective July 1, 2025; Amber Allen as a K–8 assistant principal on schedule G step one, effective July 1, 2025; and Celeste Kell Abib as director of nutrition services on schedule 2 range 14 step four, effective July 14, 2025. President Anderson said each appointment was motioned and seconded during closed session and that the votes were unanimous.
Board members also approved the consent calendar (items 8.2–8.94) and multiple action items, including updates to bylaws and board policies, revisions to personnel job descriptions, and public hearings related to collective bargaining reopener proposals. The board approved Superintendent Resolution 24‑71 designating Disabilities Pride Month and took finance-related votes tied to the district’s tentative budget and bonding requests.
All recorded votes during the open session were unanimous (5–0), according to the online roll call system used during the meeting. The board recessed to closed session at 5:33 p.m. and returned to open session at 6:31 p.m. where the appointments were announced.
The meeting returned to closed session later in the evening to complete remaining items.
