Ray Cardona, a district classified employee of more than three decades, told trustees that wage disparities and understaffing are harming morale and student services. He asked the district to "invest in your classified employees, strengthening our workforce" and called for collaborative problem solving to fix the salary schedule and medical cap issues that he said are causing strain.
Board members acknowledged the comments and later expressed appreciation for the district’s employees and community partners during their remarks. The meeting proceeded with routine agenda approvals and adjourned at 7:08 p.m.
