The Beaumont Unified Board of Trustees swore in Petra Wrathfelder and Kaden Alderson as student board members for the 2025–26 school year. The board noted each student will serve a semester, fill in for one another as needed, and have preferential voting rights in open session that do not alter final board outcomes.
After the oath, the board introduced several new administrators and staff: Jessica Parker, appointed elementary assistant principal at Tournament Hills Elementary School; Alicia Chamberlain, named career technical education coordinator; and Donald Lee, appointed site custodial supervisor at Beaumont High School. Each appointee thanked the board and offered brief remarks.
Jessica Parker said she was honored by the opportunity and looks forward to supporting students and staff: "I am deeply honored by the trust you've placed in me and I'm excited to step into this new role and focus on supporting our students, empowering our staff, and strengthening the connection with our community." Alicia Chamberlain said she is grateful for the chance to expand CTE pathways districtwide, and Donald Lee said he looks forward to improving custodial operations at the high school.
What happens next: The student representatives will participate in open sessions for the school year; new administrators will assume their duties at their assigned sites and begin coordination with district leadership.
