Middleton awards $318,109 contract to build pickleball courts at Middleton Place Park

The Middleton City Council authorized the mayor to execute a notice of award and contract with Hall and Hall Construction LLC for the construction of new pickleball courts at Middleton Place Park, in an amount not to exceed $318,109.
Public Works Director Jason Van Guilder reported competitive bids and recommended awarding the contract. He told council the cost exceeded earlier estimates but would not cause the city to exceed overall general fund budget projections for the year; impact-fee funding is also available to cover the project. Council members praised the project as a needed park amenity and noted pathways and minor ancillary improvements are included in the contract amount.
Council voted by roll call and approved the contract unanimously.
