Board directs ARPA amendments to shift funds to IT and bus advertising for two nonprofits

The Story County Board of Supervisors on March 17 directed staff to prepare ARPA amendment documents for two nonprofit requests.
Sandra King described a Boys & Girls Club request to reallocate $2,595 originally budgeted for fiber installation to cover IT services for 60 days after the fiber was installed at no cost. Ryan, representing the Boys & Girls Club online, said, "We were lucky enough...to get the fiber installed at the club sites at no cost," and that the reallocation would allow IT services to continue as their grant funding winds down.
King also presented a request from United Way of Story County to move $2,867 from print marketing to bus advertising in order to extend 211 advertisements and cover an existing overdraft. Ashley, who was online for United Way, offered no additional detail.
The board asked staff to prepare formal amendments for placement on next week's consent agenda for signature.
Next steps: staff will prepare amendment language and place both items on the consent agenda for formal approval and signature.
