The City of Madison commission approved an agreement with HK Solutions Group on March 16 to clean and televise roughly 6,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer across five locations tied to upcoming construction projects.
Ryan, speaking for city staff, said the inspections will identify interior pipe defects, structural issues and protruding taps and that the data will feed planning for the 2025—2029 infrastructure improvement plan. "The amount of this agreement and contract would be $13,361.76," he said, adding the price was under the formal bidding threshold and sourced via an RFP process with two contractors.
Commissioners asked whether the contract was budgeted; Ryan said the estimate ranged between $10,000 and $15,000 and that the item is under budget. The commission approved the agreement by voice vote.
The work is scheduled to coincide with planned construction segments, and staff will use recorded footage for immediate planning and future capital projects.
