Nearby resident Paula Green (737 Miller Drive) spoke at the podium and said the planning materials did not indicate permitted days or hours of operation and that the proposed site would be directly across from her backyard. She asked whether the city sets a standard27s "normal operating hours" and was told the planning packet does not normally include explicit hours for this kind of special-use permit; businesses typically operate during normal business hours unless conditions are imposed.

Staff and council noted that the company already operates a nearby shop about 500 feet east of the proposed location and that noise concerns could be addressed under the city27s noise and disturbing-quietude ordinances if problems arise. Council approved the permit by recorded vote; no special-hour conditions were added at the meeting, and staff advised residents to report disturbances so enforcement can be considered if needed.

The resident said she has lived in the neighborhood 30 years and asked council to be mindful of neighboring properties; council members encouraged her to call city staff if the business creates a disturbance.
