Planning board unanimously approves Prominade memory-care addition at 60–78 Fulton Street

The Save Middletown Planning Board voted unanimously on April 1 to accept Prominade Middletown LLC’s application to add a licensed memory-care unit to an existing adult care facility at 60–78 Fulton Street.
Paul Bulitz, representing Prominade Middletown, told the board the project would create an extension for a licensed memory-care program (referred to in application materials as a special needs assisted-living residence) and sought final approvals and closure of SEQRA review.
The planning board declared itself lead agency under the State Environmental Quality Review Act and, after reviewing the applicant’s submissions and the city engineer’s assessment, issued a negative declaration under 6 NYCRR part 617, finding no significant adverse environmental impacts.
The board then approved the site-plan amendment and special-use permit for the addition. The roll-call vote was recorded with Mr. Madden, Mr. Bridto, Mr. Depri and the Chair voting yes.
The board offered standard conditions and made clear the applicant must comply with any required permits and conditions recorded in the official project file before construction and operation proceed. The applicant was wished luck before the board moved to the next agenda item.
