DeKalb County board members approved routine business and multiple land‑use plats at their April 2, 2026 meeting.
The board voted to adopt the March 19, 2026 meeting minutes; the motion passed by voice vote with one member recording an abstention. The body also approved April claims totaling $1,295.
On land use, the board approved a two‑lot minor subdivision for Stone Estates after a representative from Tower Land Surveying reviewed the plat and answered questions about setbacks and building locations close to property lines. The surveyor’s office issued a favorable recommendation; the board approved the subdivision by voice vote.
The board then approved a one‑lot subdivision for a property described in the record as "Ethan and Hannah's homestead." The applicant said the east boundary will shift roughly 30 feet to create a nine‑acre parcel; the surveyor recommended approval and the motion carried.
Finally, the board approved a replat of Leverton Addition Section Two to formally include an existing square bump‑out of buildings along the parcel’s north line. Nolan Mark of On The Mark Land Surveying told the board the replat simply incorporates existing structures into the parcel as they currently sit: "it's just an existing one lot acre… including those with the parcel as they exist to the south," he said. The surveyor’s office provided a favorable recommendation and the board approved the replat by voice vote.
No public guests registered for comment during the meeting. The meeting adjourned after the scheduled agenda items were completed.
