Los Gatos Planning Commission grants appeal to remove Pleasant Street home from historic inventory, 5–1

The Los Gatos Town Planning Commission on Oct. 8 granted an appeal by the property owners to remove a pre‑1941 Pleasant Street house (APN 529‑26‑0616) from the town’s Historic Resources Inventory, voting 5–1 after extended staff presentations and commissioner debate.

Staff project planner Mr. Nathan recommended denying the appeal and upholding the Community Development Director’s August denial, noting the property appears in the 1990 Anne Bloomfield windshield survey and is presumptively historic because it predates 1941. "For the reasons stated in the staff report, it is recommended that the planning commission deny the appeal, uphold the director's decision to deny the request to remove the property from the inventory unless the planning commission can make the required finding to remove it from the inventory," Mr. Nathan told commissioners.
