The Maryville Redevelopment Commission on March 24 approved an engagement letter with Sander Dalton Municipal Advisors to provide limited, budget-focused assistance to RDC staff.
Commissioner Margaret Uzelac moved to approve the engagement letter; Commissioner Leona Chandler-Felton seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The vote was recorded by roll call as four in favor, none opposed.
Trista, who explained the proposed agreement, said the work would be "really focused on the budgetary type operational spending issues" and added that the contract "in no way at all is to replace anything that Bob is doing." She said the engagement would help the RDC respond to occasional questions from the clerk-treasurer's office and assist with items such as bond payment communications. Commissioners were told the annual cost would be modest—"a couple thousand dollars probably total."
The commission discussed the relationship between Sander Dalton and the commission's current advisor, London Wittey, and were told the new engagement would be supplemental. After limited discussion, the commission moved and approved the engagement letter as presented.
