Another councilmember said Lightner’s prior service in the county and recommendations from others in the field made the council confident in his selection.
The council also voted to reappoint Nikki Biggs, Michael Hagen, Charles Kelly, Kristen Klene and Lisa Snograss to the Harford Center board. Councilmembers praised the board’s work serving people with developmental disabilities and supporting community programs. The confirmations were moved, seconded and approved by recorded voice (six affirmative votes, one absent).
