The Bernards Township Planning Board completed its reorganization at the Jan. 20 meeting in Basking Ridge, electing Kathleen Master Angelo as chair and Tyler Seville as vice chair for 2026.
Members voted to appoint Aaron Shrager, PE, of Excelsier Consulting as the board engineer for 2026 under resolution 26-01 and to retain Jonathan E. Drill, Esq., as board attorney under resolution 26-02. Joanne Slayman was appointed board secretary by voice vote. The board also designated several newspapers for official public notice and adopted its 2026 calendar of meeting dates.
Following a closed session on employment matters, the board voted to hire Allison Fehey of Burgess Associates as board planner for 2026. Board members said the appointments aim to provide continuity and to support several pending and upcoming applications expected this year.
The reorganization included a brief discussion of the board rules and the notice process; members noted no substantive changes to rules adopted previously and flagged that the township’s published notice process may transition to include the township website.
The meeting record shows routine roll-call votes to adopt the resolutions and appointments. The board adjourned the reorganization and resumed the regular meeting agenda at 7:47 p.m.
