Staff said the city’s "current 1971 Lift Station 5 has reached the end of its useful life."
Staff told commissioners the force main for the lift station has failed in the past, causing direct sewage discharge to Mission Lake and prompting more than $250,000 in emergency repairs after a second failure in May 2019.
