Wilson board approves $425,652.95 Lincoln Park soil‑stabilization change order and awards $13.44M energy project

At its March 9, 2026 meeting the Wilson School Board approved a package of operations and construction items that included a $425,652.95 change order for soil stabilization at Lincoln Park Elementary and the award of the district’s Giza 2026 guaranteed energy‑savings/renovation project to CM3 Building Solutions for $13,444,786.

Superintendent Dr. Trickett told trustees the Lincoln Park stabilization work emerged after contractors began heavy equipment operations on site and that engineering teams recommended additional remediation to support the structure. “This particular change order has to do with the soil stabilization process at Lincoln Park Elementary School,” he said, adding that the district planned for contingencies and secured debt to cover such unforeseen work.

The operations block also included a set of smaller change orders and contract adjustments the board approved by roll call. The agenda listed a Himlson Electric change order No. 3 for the performing arts center for $20,216 and additional electric change orders for the same contractor series; some amounts are variably transcribed in the record and are noted below as unclear.
