Board renews employee wellness screening contract, approves public-lawn permit and mowing bid advertisement

Rachel Troyer of Central Services presented a renewal with Healthworks to provide on-site biometric screenings for employees and participating spouses. Troyer said the contract totals $11,637 with about $11,252 expected to be billed to Anthem depending on participation; the program requires a 25-participant guarantee for sites. Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to approve the contract.
The board also approved a request to use the courthouse front lawn for a demonstration on March 28, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The applicant provided a $500 deposit to cover potential cleanup or damage; the deposit will be returned if no damage occurs.
Finally, the board authorized advertising for mowing services at 18 wastewater facility sites (routine three-year solicitation; last done in 2022). The motions to approve these items carried unanimously.
