The housing authority liaison (Sarah) reported that news of a roughly 142014.8% HUD operating-fund decrease for public housing is manageable and can be absorbed within current budgets; she said the agency also saw a small increase in administration funds for the Housing Choice Voucher program. She said final federal funding amounts were not yet provided to the authority.
Staff member Sullivan reported the Schultz Pass RFP (city parcel at 3500 North Valley Road) experienced a submission glitch and the application deadline was pushed back one week; the new deadline is next Tuesday at noon.
Adriana Fischer said Flagstaff voters will receive a special-election ballot in April for Question 492 (Regional Land Use Plan 2045) with ballots due May 19; staff offered to provide a neutral, dedicated presentation to the commission and asked whether commissioners wanted that session. Commissioners expressed support and staff will circulate a deadline for advance questions.
Housing staffer Aiden described Fair Housing Month activities: resource tables at the East Side Library on April 3 and the downtown library on April 29, and a free fair-housing training on April 30 led by the Southwest Fair Housing Council and DNA Legal; staff also invited commissioners to a proclamation at City Council on April 21.
