West Valley Outlook says it will expand Saratoga coverage with weekly online edition

Brandy, who oversees the West Valley Outlook’s Saratoga coverage, told the council the paper ran more than 100 Saratoga-focused news and feature stories in 2025 and ensured a Saratoga story appeared on every Outlook front page that year.
Brandy said the Outlook maintained a roughly 70/30 content-to-advertising ratio and emphasized coverage that highlights local nonprofits, businesses and volunteer opportunities. She described partnerships with local high-school contributors (naming Saratoga High School, Harker, Archbishop Mitty and Lindberghay) and said the paper helps older adults and other residents stay connected to local information.
Looking ahead, Brandy said the Outlook will launch a fully online version in 2026 that will be updated weekly rather than monthly. She framed the change as a way to keep residents informed more frequently and to create more opportunities for resident perspectives and local collaborations.
Brandy gave a shout-out to Corinne Michener (city staff) for her reporting support and said the paper plans to increase its presence at council and commission meetings.
