Denton County outlines Ironman triathlon logistics and traffic controls ahead of March event

Taylor said the county will manage road closures, with local law enforcement and sheriff’s deputies directing traffic, and that an operational activation of the Little Elm EOCC is planned for 5:30 a.m. on event day to support traffic-management and safety operations. Commissioners said the event will generate local revenue for hotels, food and related services and thanked local partners and construction teams who adjusted schedules to support the event.
