He urged the board to allow teleconference participation so that people with caregiving responsibilities, health limitations or transportation barriers could participate.
County staff and the chair responded that meetings are publicly accessible in person and that recordings are posted online; staff provided a phone number for constituent contact. Staff did not commit to immediate remote participation at the meeting but said recordings are available on the county website and local outlets.
Separately, the board moved and approved a consent agenda covering resolutions roughly numbered 26‑394 through 26‑438 (excluding two listed items); roll call votes were recorded and the motion carried. The consent agenda and routine approvals included minutes approval and other administrative items; votes were recorded by roll call during the meeting.
The public comments and the vote underscore continuing public interest in modernizing meeting access and in how county technology investments will be used.
