Bridget Genmire, of Senior's Town, told the commission the campaign is awaiting formal introduction of the measure by a county council sponsor (participants named Councilwoman Baker) and that organizers are preparing polling, messaging and testimony for hearings. She said the group is considering May for introduction and expects work on messaging to continue through the spring and into the November ballot period.
Commission members said the immediate priority is to document current county services and gaps so they can present evidence to council members and voters.
