The sheriff had endorsed the upgrade, staff said, because the space hosts external speakers on topics such as opioid funding. Commissioners moved and seconded the transfer; Commissioners Clark, Stewart and D. Bernardo each recorded “yes.”
The transfer was characterized as a stopgap solution that can be implemented for under $2,500 and avoids waiting until the next budget year.
