Berlin council approves DBF plat adjustments to advance Herren Park parcel sale

The representatives said they had attempted multiple administrative steps since November without getting a definitive, recordable plat.
Mayor and council members discussed the exhibits and the town staff’s plan to use DBF’s drawing as the final actionable plat. On a motion by Vice President Burrell, seconded by Council Member Nichols, the council approved a motion to record the DBF‑prepared plat lines and to proceed with adjusting the northern property line and roadway boundary as shown on the DBF drawing. The roll‑call vote was unanimous.
The council instructed staff and the town engineer to prepare the recordable plat reflecting the DBF adjustments to allow the developer to complete settlement. No settlement date was specified at the meeting; council members and speakers noted remaining due‑diligence steps and the contract anniversary at month’s end.
Next steps: Planning/engineering staff will finalize a recordable plat consistent with the DBF drawing and the town will accept the recorded plat adjustments to permit closing.
