Two Rivers council welcomes two new library board appointees

The Two Rivers City Council approved the appointment of Lisa Steinhauer and Laura Watkins to three-year terms on the city library board, terms to begin April 30, 2026 and expire May 1, 2029.
Before the council voted on the consent agenda that included the appointments, both appointees introduced themselves. Lisa Steinhauer said she has been a Two Rivers resident for 47 years, is retired from a long career helping people with Aurora Health Care and holds a master’s degree in nursing. Laura Watkins said she has local ties dating back about a decade, works as a physical therapy assistant, and volunteers with a Girl Scouts troop.
The appointments were included in the consent agenda and approved by voice vote.
